La Belle et le Bad Boy
As I had a total French week, I decided to keep it French till the end of it.That’s why I put this video here, to enjoy it Over Coffee…
It’s the song that featured the final episode of Sex and the City TV series and I think it was a perfect choice for the “Carrie necklace scene” :)
I just love “La belle et le bad boy” (The beauty and the bad boy), by MC Solaar. It’s the story of two young lovers, that met in school and the girl is quickly pulled into the world of crime by her rebellious boyfriend. At the end of the song, the young woman is being shot to death:
Quand elle tombe, il a les larmes aux yeux
When she’s falling she has tears in her eyes
Deux balles de 22. Vingt deux ans adieu
Two .22 bullets. Twenty-two years goodbye

LOL, despite having studied 13 years of French in the Canadian school system, I still don't remember enough to translate intuitively.
